TRM-WaterWire®-BC

Branch Connector for
TRM WaterWire®-HT System

TRM WaterWire®-BC is the Branch Connector component of the TRM WaterWire®-HT system.    It is used to connect a branch circuit to the main sensor circuit in order to trace the layout of the steam conduit system.    The brach circuit does note require a return leg.    The connections potted within the TRM WaterWire®-BC assure proper performance in leak detection and locating.    The three legs of the branch connector are labeled:  “To Monitor”, “Branch” and “To End”.  When spliced into the main circuit according to the labels, the length of the branch is automatically inserted into the length and location count of the main circuit.   For instance if a 50′ branch is spliced into the main circuit at the 100′ point, the location count would be 0 to 100′ along the main line, then 101′ to 150’out to the end of the branch, then resume counting at 151′ back on the main circuit and out to the end of the system.  There are no dead bands incorporated into the TRM WaterWire®-BC

There is no limit to the number of sub-branches (or sub-sub-brances) within a branch to as many layers as required to trace the pipe system.   Only the sensor cable itself counts toward the total circuit length.    The TRM WaterWire®-BC does not deduct from the maximum circuit length as determined by the limits of the monitoring instrument.

Key Features

Leader cables (3) :

18″  long

Operating Temperature:

-40°C to 232°C

Connection Method:

High temperature steel crimps as supplied in TRM WaterWire®-USK (Universal Splice Kit).    Note that each TRM WaterWire®-BC requires three of the TRM WaterWire®-USK kits since you will be splicing to the main circuit in two directions and to the branch cable.
