Data Sheet

TRM-Easy5-SDR is a customized version of Eaton Corporation’s Easy-e4 Programmable Relay. The TRM Sensors version has the ability to monitor up to 20 TRM-DFS-3 indoor fuel sensors (in two loops of up to 10 sensors per loop); combinations of TRM-DFS-3 fuel sensors with TRM-WLS water/coolant sensors; two TRM-UST  double wall tank and pipe sensors or 2 TRM-CC outdoor sump sensors. The sensors are connected to the Easy5 input terminals and the Smart Relay closes alarm relays in response to leak detections.   with the addition of a special adapter card, the TRM-Easy5-SDR can also monitor 4-wire sensor cables like TRM-Waterwire-HT and the TraceTEk family of sensor cablers.   Leak location estimates are calculated once a leak is detected.

The TRM-Easy5-SDR displays the current status of all connected sensors on a small color coded status screen.    Normal condition is indicated with a green background and any fault condition is displayed on a red background.     White backgrounds are used for set[up menus

The SDR provides for separate Form-A dry contacts (rated at 8A) to indicate sensor status to facility monitoring systems or BMS packages. The normal status of the relays  and what they indicate changes depending on the connected sensors.

The standard TRM-Easy5-SDR has multiple operating modes embedded in its factory installed software and the installer selects which mode to operate at the time of installation depending on what type of sensor are connected.    The mode selection is made at initial startup via status screen menus.    Mode selection is stored in non-volatile memory so power interruptions are handled gracefully.   However, there is a simple reset procedure to return the set-up to factory startup conditions allowing the relay to be re-configured should the type of connected sensor be changed in the future.

TRM-Easy5-SDR will operate on either 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc. There is no need to specify the operating voltage in advance.

The SDR can be purchased as a stand alone DIN rail mounted device if the user has a pre-existing control cabinet with about 3″ of available rail and a suitable voltage source.

The TRM Easy5 Smart Relay is UL approved to both Canadian and US standards and CE marked. The devices is RoHS compliant.

TRM Easy5 Panel offers a “complete” package alternative. The panel version is a 12″ x 12″ x 6″ NEMA-1 UL508A certified and is designed to operate on line voltage from 100 to 240 Vac at 50/60 Hz.
