TRM Easy5 Relay

The TRM Easy5-relay-U is the preferred monitoring device for all new TRM-DFS-3, TRM-WLS, TRM-CC, TRM-IOS and TRM-UST installations.    The Easy5-Relay-U is a DIN rail mounted device ready to install in the owner’s existing control cabinet.    The operating voltage is 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc. No pre-configuration or voltage selection is required.

The TRM Easy5-RelayU replaces the TRM Relay Unit Type-CV more than twice the sensor monitoring capacity and global approvals for the same price as the older Relay Unit being replaced.     When used to monitor TRM-DFS-3 indoor fuel sensors the new TRM Easy5-Relay-U can monitor up to 20 sensors arranged in two loops of 10 sensors.   There are two alarm output relays (one per loop), so if any sensor detects fuel or if the loop continuity is broken, one of two relays is triggered.   These alarm relays are “normally open” single pole (Form-A) contacts designed to signal the owners pre-existing BMS or similar alarm/control system.      In addition, separate contacts are provided to activate teh TRM relay Unit Type-RO buzzer/LED indicator that can be mounted locally or in a distant facility office or security room.

TRM Easy5-Relay-U also replaces the TRM Relay Unit  Type-DA used to monitor TRM-CC outdoor sump and containment sensors.    Each TRM-Easy5-Relay-U can monitor 2 x  TRM-CC sensors.  The alarm outputs in the TRM-CC configuration is one “leak detected” contact and one”trouble” contact.   Additional contact are provided to activate a local or remote buzzer/LED indicator.

The TRM Easy5-Relay-U comes with multiple sensor configurations pre-installed and which mode is active can be selected by the installer in the fuel with external jumper wire connections.  Some software configurations (for TRM-IOS and IOS/WLS combo systems require special software set up at the factory).

TRM Easy5-1Relay-U is based on the Eaton Easy-e4 programmable relay manufactured to global standards for industrial controls.  The unit is approved by UL to both US and Canadian standards and is CE marked,

If the facility does not have space in a pre-existing control cabinet, consider the TRM Easy5 Panel.    The Panel version is a UL508A certified control panel, ready to bolt onto a wall and operates from a wide range of line voltage.
