TRM-Easy5-SDR builds on the popular TRM-Easy5-Relay-U. This 12 or 24 Vdc, DIN rail mounted module can monitor all TRM sensor probes and cable. Like its Easy5-Relay-U cousin, the primary output signal of the new TRM-Easy5-SDR is dry relay contacts. The roles of the four independent contacts and their normal state is defined based on the type of sensors being monitored.
Easy unit ships with embedded software capable of monitoring TRM-DFS-3 indoor fuel sensors, TRM-IOS indoor oil monitors, TRM-WLS coolant sensors, TRM-UST sensors for double wall tanks and pipe and TRM-CC sump sensors. The installer selects the appropriate software module at the time of installation . Set-up is a one time process with the mode selection stored in non-volatile memory. Power interruptions are handled smoothly, but a user reset function allows for future re-starts if different sensors are connected.
A special “4-wire sensor cable” mode is automatically invoked if the appropriate adapter board is installed. When in the “cable mode” the TRM-Easy5-SDR can monitor TRM-Waterwire-HT high temperature steam conduit sensor cable or any 4-wire TraceTek cable for cable breaks and leak detections. When a leak is detected, the SDR will provide a location estimate that can be correlated to a system map created at installation time. The 4-wire cable mode will work for TRM Waterwire, TraceTek sensor cables, and many RLE, Liebert and TTK sensor cables.
